The girls are sitting a bit impatiently for us to saddle the horses. Grandma needs us to round-up the cows and cut out the cull's and the bull. These are the cowgirls out to get the job done.
All saddled up and ready to ride. Although you can only see one horse (Sundance) the other horse (Shogun) is standing behind her, so the two floating girls on the mane, are actually sitting on another horse.
Me and Clanci are working the cows toward the gate. It was such a beautiful Fall day. The kind of day that makes you feel as though you were born a century too late. The feel of a strong horse beneath you and God's beauty all around you and cool air caressing your face makes you wish for days gone by, days you are afraid may be disappearing and that your children may never remember. God help the world that exsists without cows and a good horse and rider to get the job done.
Dad's goal this year was to give the girls a deer-hunting experience. Although still young enough to like their binki's they love to be in the flat-bed truck with Dad. They look for big bucks and are almost as excited as Dad when they see one.
