Fourth of July

Traditional spot on July 4th. Every year since a was a small child we have waited for the promise of candy at the same spot on mainstreet. The fourth of July is packed from morning to night with traditions from the breakfast at the park, which up until this year my family has been largely responsible for, to the home-made ice cream while watching fireworks.

This is the first year we have taken the girls canoeing. The canoe has been parked on the ceiling of our garage for the last four years, patiently waiting for the day when the girls could enjoy fishing without the inevitable flip and swim that may accompany it. They did great. Thankfully the out-of-date life jackets were not needed.
